Some weeks ago, a series of investigative stories published jointly by the Huffington Post in the United States, and the Australian newspaper chain Fairfax Media, linked the name of Iraqi businessman Dr. Ahmed Al-Jibouri (أحمد طالب الجبوري) to the international investigation into Monaco’s Unaoil, and its alleged dealings in Iraq. Dr. Al-Jibouri and his associated corporate entities, namely Armada Group and International Procurement and Contracting LLC, refute, in the strongest possible manner, the allegations of facilitation of bribery made by the Huffington Post and Fairfax Media; and we have been working diligently since these stories first appeared to restore our good name and our previously rock-solid international standing. These baseless allegations have severely damaged our ability to conduct business lawfully, as is our practice and as we normally might in many countries, and the sustained damage to our reputations brought about by this series of articles cannot continue to go unaddressed. We have since hired a top-tier international law firm to investigate the sources and methods used by these news organizations in the course of their reporting, and the incorrect perceptions that such reporting has created, and we will take any and all actions necessary to clear our names, and restore the solid, upstanding reputation of Dr. Al-Jibouri and his associated companies.

This team of lawyers will also represent us in connection with all inquiries relating to the misplaced allegations.

We will have no further comments on these matters at this time. We will, however, provide timely updates as warranted, and as appropriate.
